Dr. Yosra Mojaddidy Nasiri is a Bay Area native who recently settled in San Ramon with her husband and two daughters. She has been practicing as an optometrist at a community health center for nearly a decade. During her time, she spearheaded the development and expansion of vision clinics and was instrumental in increasing access to eye care and services for the underserved, immigrant and refugee populations. As a parent, she witnessed firsthand the importance of institutions in enriching and improving our communities. She holds a BSc from UC Berkeley and a Doctorate from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She also worked as a program coordinator at Zaytuna Institute and has been organizing halaqas and volunteering in the wider Muslim community for over 20 years.
